Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

ThermaFit Escondido Insulation Services, escondidoinsulation.com, hi@escondidoinsulation.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and the services ThermaFit Escondido Insulation Services provides. If you browse our home page, call us, send our contact form or book work with us, you're agreeing to these terms.

If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. Your signed estimate or work agreement for a specific job controls wherever it says something different from this page.

What we do

ThermaFit Escondido Insulation Services is an insulation contractor in Escondido, CA. We insulate, air seal and remove old insulation in attics, walls, crawl spaces and basements, for homes and commercial buildings in Escondido and the cities around it. You can read more about us on our About page.

What you read on this website is general information about insulation and how we work. It isn't an offer for your house, because every attic and crawl space is different. The work we'll do for you is what's written in your estimate.

Estimates and pricing

We give free estimates at your property, with no pressure and no obligation. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, such as the size of the space, how many inches of insulation are already up there, how easy it is to reach and the material you choose.

Some conditions only show up once the job is open, like old insulation that's soaked or full of droppings, or gaps we couldn't see from the hatch. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we stop and tell you first, and we don't do the extra work until you've agreed to it in writing.

Prices in an estimate hold for the period written on it. After that, we may need to update it before we schedule.

Scheduling, access and cancellation

We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delays, illness or a job running long can push a date, and if that happens we'll call you as soon as we know and set a new one.

Please give our crew clear access to the attic, crawl space or work area, and keep kids and pets away from it while we work. Some products, spray foam in particular, come with a maker's re-entry time, which is how long people and pets need to stay out before coming back in. We'll tell you before the job what that means for your day, and you agree to follow it.

If you need to cancel or move your date, please call us as early as you can. Any deposit or cancellation charge is set out in your written agreement, and if your agreement doesn't mention one, there isn't one.

Payment

Payment is due as written in your agreement. If it doesn't set a schedule, the full balance is due when the work is finished.

If a balance goes unpaid, we may pause any remaining work until it's settled and use the collection steps California law allows. Approved change orders are added to the balance and paid on the same terms.

Our guarantee and warranties

ThermaFit Escondido Insulation Services is licensed and insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the job isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it. Any written warranty for your job is the one in your agreement.

Insulation and foam products carry their own warranties from the companies that make them. We'll pass those along to you, and they're handled under the maker's terms.

Apart from what's written in your agreement and the maker's warranties, and to the extent California law allows, we don't give any other warranty, spoken or implied. We also can't promise a set drop in your power bill or room temperature, because those depend on your house, your equipment and how you use them.

This website is provided as it is. We try to keep it accurate, but we don't promise that every page is complete, current or free of errors.

Limits on our liability

To the extent California law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a room or lost income, that come from our services or from using this website. Our total responsibility for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

We're also not responsible for problems caused by conditions we didn't create and weren't hired to fix, or by work someone else does after us. Nothing in this section limits anything the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with our work or a bill, please call us first at (442) 281-9783 or reach us through our Contact page. Most problems get sorted out quickly when we talk them through, and we'll give you a straight answer.

If we can't settle it that way, either of us may take the matter to small claims court or another court in San Diego County, California.

Governing law

These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of California.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. Changes don't alter an agreement you've already signed with us.

If you have a question about these terms, call us at (442) 281-9783 or send us a note from our Contact page.
